From an idea to youronewatches

When we founded the company EQVIS back in 2010, we didn’t think it would take this long, until we would actually be able to present our first product, the Varius. We first had to learn, that wanting to reach perfection only works in combination with a good amount of patience and a long lasting supply of motivation. The idea for the Varius with its now patented strap and ring changing systems was conceived even before EQVIS as a company was born and our first goal as this young start-up was to find a network that will put into reality our very high quality standards. At first we where convinced that we would find this network in our motherland Germany, but after more than two years of trying, we had to realize, that we bet on the wrong horse and subsequently left Germany behind as our country of production origin and moved on to Switzerland. Within the Swiss Jura region, home to a wide variety of watchmaking specialists, we have found a fantastic, highly motivated network of suppliers that soon had us realizing, that we could reach a 100% Swiss Made value chain instead of the then 50% that was needed to be legally able to mark ones products with the Swiss Made seal. 

That said and done and yet another four years later, we are as proud as can be to finally go public with our brand EQVIS and its first high quality, 100% Swiss Made precision product, the EQVIS Varius wristwatch. Our newly launched web presence is filled with pictures and infos about EQVIS, the Varius and the people, that created it and we really hope, that you will enjoy all of it as much as we do.
